Accessibility
Updated September 26, 2026. This page describes access to the website’s planning tools. It does not assess the accessibility of a physical boardwalk, and it does not claim complete website conformance.
Read quantities without the chart
The boardwalk planner lists each rectangular zone’s dimensions and area, then reports net surface area, allowance and approximate board length in text. The bars compare zone areas; they are not a map of the route. The calculation cannot detect overlapping zones or establish slopes, transitions, structural capacity or public-route approval.
Use the controls by keyboard
The “Skip to content” link passes the header. Tab moves through the labeled fields, links and buttons. Arrow keys move between the US customary and Metric tabs. Enter or Space activates buttons. Zone removal buttons identify their zone number. Project type, environment, traffic and other planning-summary choices use standard select controls.
Keep the operating questions in words
The planning summary lists unresolved questions below the layout concept. Changing the environment, maintenance access or fastening approach changes those questions. The illustrative layout width is separate from your entered zone dimensions. In the procurement worksheet, each evidence heading has a text field for the requirement or open question. A filled field remains a draft requirement rather than verified performance evidence.
Explore interfaces and record locations
The interface explorer offers numbered buttons, a condition selector and a written list of review questions. On a small screen, the coordination plan scrolls horizontally; the selector reaches every condition without using the map. Location notes can be exported or carried to the planner. The planning summary includes those notes and keeps missing references and responsible roles visible. Entering a reference does not verify the document or approve an assembly.
Save and review a record
“Export worksheet” and “Export planning summary” download JSON text files. Print controls use the browser’s available print or PDF destinations. Inputs are temporary, so export before leaving. “Send project requirements” carries a temporary copy to the inquiry page for review; it does not submit an inquiry. Use “Review transferred fields” to inspect that copy and “Remove planning brief” to remove it. Submission is a separate action when the inquiry form is available.
Images, motion and reading size
Concept images and diagrams do not establish measured dimensions or evidence of an accessible route. Keep the written assumptions and exclusions with any exported result. Browser zoom can enlarge the text. Reduced-motion styles are present, but checks across every device, zoom level and assistive technology are incomplete.
